Full House for 2008 Cooper Parry Corporate Challenge
Added : 24th July 2008
East Midlands Business Advisers Cooper Parry are celebrating after filling all 80 places in their 2008 Cooper Parry Corporate Challenge in record time. The event, which is in its 6th year, has attracted teams from businesses across the East Midlands.
The Cooper Parry Corporate Challenge is part of the Nottingham Experian Robin Hood Marathon, where hundreds of East Midland’s bravest businesses take to the road in aid of raising money for charity.
The race is run in a relay format, with teams of five following the official half marathon course. Each team member will run around 2.5 miles before handing over the ‘baton’. The Cooper Parry Corporate Challenge provides the opportunity for local companies to get fit for business, making a better workplace, healthier workers, which is all good for the bottom line.
Cooper Parry Chairman Colin Shaw said ‘We are delighted with the interest we have had from local businesses this year and it just goes to show how popular this event has become over the past 6 years. We have had to do very little promotion of the event this year, and interest has been so high that we have been asked to start a reserve list. In the first year we had just 20 teams so it is great to see how the event has grown.’
‘This year with the support of the teams we are hoping to achieve our target of raising £50,000. Over the last five years we have raised over £120,000 for the designated charities. ’
The Cooper Parry Corporate Challenge will take place on Sunday September 14th 2008.
