Cooper Parry celebrated being an ‘Investors in People Champion’ by hosting an event for National Learning at Work Day 2008.

The audience, which included representatives from all parts of the country, was taken on a fun and informative tour around the subjects of employee development, managers’ development routeway, leadership and management training and identifying how to unlock people’s true potential.

Jeremy Bowler, Chief executive of Cooper Parry, gave an inspirational talk on the journey they have taken to achieve IIP Champion status and demonstrated how investors in people has contributed to the success of their business.

Carol King, Head of Learning and Development at Cooper Parry commented, “We were one of only 35 elite organisations in the UK to achieve IIP Champion status in 2007 and today was an opportunity to share our ideas and success stories with others.”

The nationally recognised IIP Champion initiative awarded Cooper Parry the accolade in 2007 because of the exemplary way they had boosted their business performance through managing and developing their employees.

Jeremy Bowler said, ‘IIP has helped Cooper Parry continue to attract the very best people.  The results have been way beyond our expectations and have helped to ensure our firm is viewed as a great place to work and develop.’

HR Director Neena Tebbutt added, “The Learning at Work Day event meant we could celebrate our achievement as IIP Champions with others.   We are pleased to be able to support other organisations in developing their people and their business.”
