Derby Business Advisers, Cooper Parry are reminding employers with fewer than 50 employees of the benefits of submitting their 2008/09 Employer Annual Return P35 online.
Valid electronic submission of the form by the due date of 19 May will qualify for a tax free bonus of £75, but submission of the paper form will not qualify.
Herminder Sandhu, Employee Taxes Manager says “This incentive will still be awarded to the employer even if an intermediary submits the return on their behalf. Employers or the intermediary must be registered with HMRC Online to be able to qualify for the service. At present, the registration process can take up to a week to become functional."
For employers with 50 or more employees, online submission of the P35 is mandatory.
