Cooper Parry Helps EP Build On Its Success

Cooper Parry Corporate Finance has continued its recent stream of successful transactions with the sale of EP (Builders Merchants) Limited to industry leader Jewson Limited.

Leicester-based EP (Builder Merchants) Limited was founded 28 years ago and is focused on the sale of heavy side materials Today the company has a turnover of £6 million and employs around 25 people.

Sally Williams of Cooper Parry Corporate Finance was the lead adviser and commented:

“Our client has built up an efficient and very well maintained site in South Wigston. He feels his business can only benefit from being part of the larger Jewson corporate infrastructure.”

This transaction comes at a time when Cooper Parry has strengthened its Leicester team with the appointment of Mukesh Bulsara, who joined with over eight years experience advising clients on acquisitions, disposals and buy-outs.

Commenting on the growing number of opportunities in the region, Heath Walker, Corporate Finance Director at the firm’s Leicester office, explained: “Leicester is a thriving market place, and we have an expanding team capable of leading and fully servicing transactions in the local area.”

Legal advice to the vendors was provided by Austin Moore of East Midlands Gateley Wareing LLP. He added: “This is the sort of transaction I like, where a good local business can realise value for its founder and maintain the level of service to its customers.”
