How I can help

I provide strategic and corporate finance advice and support to both businesses and their shareholders.  Typically, this involves helping with acquisitions, disposals, mergers, fundraising exercises and MBO’s.

My experience

I am both a qualified Chartered Accountant and a member of the Securities Institute.

I have been involved in lead advisory for over 10 years and also have some invaluable experience gained whilst working for 2 years in industry.  As a result of this, I have a significant amount of client empathy and pride myself on my “hands on” and pragmatic approach to any transaction.

How long I've been part of the Cooper Parry team

I joined the Cooper Parry team in November 2003.

What I did before

I spent 11 years working with Big 4 accountancy firms and, during a 2 year period in industry, I was the acting finance director of a £55 million turnover private equity backed business which was undergoing a significant re-structuring exercise.

Great things I've done

Some of the more significant transactions I have been involved with include the:

  • sale of Primary Asset Management to Medicx Fund plc
  • sale of St Tropez Inc and its UK distributor
  • merger of Thomas Hannah Associates and the Q Group
  • sale of Go Plant Limited
  • £80 million institutional buy-out of Smartstream Reconciliations
  • £50+ million sale of Carrington Carr Limited to AWD Holdings AG
  • £25 million sale of Emtec Holdings Limited to Carter & Carter plc

I have also advised on a variety of smaller (ie. sub £15 million) M&A and MBO transactions and have supported transactions with a number of highly profile names (including the likes of Rover, Coates Viyella plc, Rolls Royce plc and Del Monte International.).

My interests

When not acting as a part time taxi driver to my wife and 2 children, I am a keen supporter of Leicester City.
