How I can help
I can provide practical advice to help clients get the best out of their most important asset – their people. My background of hands-on HR Management in the retail, manufacturing and construction industries gives me a wide range of experience to draw on when advising clients. I recognise that busy Administrators, Line Managers and Directors do not always have the time to research employment law issues and they value high quality and practical advice.
My experience
After completing a Post Graduate Diploma at Nottingham Trent University I became MCIPD qualified in 2003. I have worked in HR for 10 years with experience of training and development and generalist HR.
How long I've been part of the Cooper Parry team
I joined the team in March 2008.
What I did before
In my previous roles I have developed policy and advised Line Managers and Directors on all aspects of HR including recruitment, performance management, discipline and grievance and redundancy. I have also internally verified a number of NVQ schemes and developed, delivered and evaluated training courses ranging from induction to management development.
Great things I've done
My proudest achievement is successfully managing a large organisational change project resulting in significant variations to contracts for 800 employees within a highly consultative retail company.
My interests
I am a keen mountain biker and rock climber. I visited Nepal and trekked to Everest Base Camp in 2003, which is an experience I would recommend to anyone looking for an out of the ordinary holiday!
