Fresh Retail Ventures is the company responsible for the sales, marketing and licensing of celebrity chef Jamie Oliver's food, cookware, tableware and gifting products, and has the licence for the Jamie Oliver brand in all retail markets, worldwide. The company was established in 2006, and has recently relocated to offices in Hale, Greater Manchester. Jamie attended the official opening of the operation in Westgate House, Hale Road.
Fresh Retail currently has a turnover of £7m, and is planned to grow rapidly.
The products are currently sold in Sainsbury's, Tesco and most department stores throughout the UK, as well as 35 countries worldwide.
Financial Controller Abdul Bagas commented “The company has ambitious growth plans and needs the right systems in place to be able to support its growth. We carried out a review of our existing systems and concluded that they were not capable of supporting the planned expansion in their current state. We were aware of Cooper Parry’s experience with the installation and support of systems in the Food Industry, so we have employed them to help us improve our systems.”
Cooper Parry reviewed the company’s needs and recommended the improvements required to the company’s system. Cooper Parry IT Partner Andrew Geer commented “We quickly identified the need to use the Navision system for accounting, sales and purchase order processing, stock control, materials requirements planning (MRP) and procurement. These systems will need to be flexed in some areas of the business and Navision is the ideal product for this. We are confident that these systems will operate efficiently, will assist the company’s expansion, and will help to optimise service to customers “
Abdul Bagas added “We have been very pleased with Cooper Parry’s advice. Their recommendations will certainly help us, and the new systems will provide the foundation for our growth”.
