Digital Paper and Pen

What is this?

As the name suggests it is good old pen and paper – but with a difference! The technology was developed by a company in Sweden called Anoto.

We are an accredited Anoto partner and offer complete digital pen and paper systems to our clients, including all the infrastructure needed to run these systems, from design, system integration and training. The full package.

Digital Paper

Digital paper is normal paper, printed with thousands of tiny dots which gives the paper a faint grey sheen. These dots form a pattern which is invisible to the eye. The pattern is read by the camera pen so it knows exactly where it is on the paper.

The pen’s movements are stored as a series of map co-ordinates. These co-ordinates form a file which is transferred to a computer.

The file is then interpreted and digitised – and hey presto – what was written on the paper is now on the screen! The information received can be stored in Word, Excel or a database of your choice.

The Digital Pen

The digital pen contains a digital camera, an image processing unit and a Bluetooth radio transceiver. It also has an ink cartridge so that it writes just like a normal biro.

Used in conjunction with digital paper it enables you to work as normal, recording information with pen and paper, and automatically capturing the information recorded in your computer system.
