Cooper Parry are the proposed Administrators for GH Anderson Electrical Ltd, based on Pride Park.
Regrettably GH Anderson Electrical Ltd ceased trading on Monday 26th January. It was established back in 1964 by the late George Anderson and was managed by the 3rd generation of the family, Director James Anderson. The company wholesaled domestic, commercial and industrial cleaning equipment, spare parts, accessories and consumables.
Andersons had a turnover of approximately £5m, but had been experiencing cash flow problems due to a mixture of financial and economic pressures as well as pressures on margins which has left the company with no other alternative than to cease trading and file for the appointment of Administrator.
The Director, James Anderson stated that he would like to thank all of the staff that had supported him over the years, especially during the last few turbulent months.
“I was so proud to have managed and owned this company and Monday was one of the saddest days of my life. The current climate is unforgiving and I feel for other companies who are currently on a knife edge”.
Dean Nelson, Senior Manager from Cooper Parry, stated “The Company has ceased to trade and we are currently reviewing the options available to maximise the company’s realisations.

James Anderson wishes to make it clear that this is a separate business to the Andersons shop on the Strand, which continues to thrive despite the pressures of the retail market place.
