Regional business advisers Cooper Parry have added to their workforce with the appointment of Alison Timperley as Director to their Business Recovery and Insolvency Services team.

Alison has sector experience in manufacturing, engineering, retail and haulage and has helped return millions of pounds to stakeholders and secure thousands of jobs.

During the latter part of her career, she spent many months around the UK assisting the restructure of NHS Trusts and turned around the fortune of one that was £40 million in deficit.

“I was excited about the prospect of joining Cooper Parry even before contracts were signed and am thrilled to be back in a professional services’ firm which is dedicated to the East Midlands and has been my home since 1992.”

The opportunity presented by Cooper Parry was one where both parties felt that her recruitment would help serve the local market place better.

“In my ten year’s experience in restructuring and insolvency, the challenge for BRIS has always been to secure an early introduction to a business or to an individual to maximise the potential options available for their own benefit. “

She continued, “Often the initial contact with struggling companies or individuals is at crisis point when options are much more restricted. Once introduced, it can be a challenge to reassure stakeholders that our focus is on recovery wherever possible and not to put the nail in the coffin.”

Tyrone Courtman, partner at Cooper Parry said, “We look forward to welcoming Alison to Cooper Parry at this time when the credit crunch is affecting so many companies and individuals alike.”
