How I can help
I lead the Training and Development team at Cooper Parry. The role is a dual one: I have responsibility to make sure all Cooper Parry partners and team members have the knowledge and skills needed to deliver a real quality service to our clients. The other part of my role is to work with our clients to help them grow their business through developing their people.
My team and I design and deliver a wide range of training, workshops and other events which help individuals and teams develop new skills and improve their impact on the business. We also offer coaching to individuals and teams – coaching focuses on specific needs and goals and can help find solutions to difficult situations or performance issues.
My experience
I have many years (than I care to remember) experience as a trainer and manager in the private and public sector – working with people at all levels. I am a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development, a qualified trainer and NLP (neuro linguistic programming) practitioner and hold a postgraduate certificate in business coaching.
How long I've been part of the Cooper Parry team
Since February 2005 and I love it!
What I did before
I was in a similar role with a large regional law firm. Prior to this I worked in both the private and public sectors.
Great things I've done
Since I have been at Cooper Parry I have introduced a new induction process; a management development programme; implemented a full programme of “soft skills training” and a partner development programme. I have also managed the firm through the IIP profiles re-accreditation. And finally – but by no means least – I have expanded our T&D team by 100% to enable us to offer the same high quality training to our clients!
My interests
I have 2 dogs – both rescues: a border terrier called Leo and a Dalmatian called Keeley. I am a very familiar face in Chilwell and Beeston being walked by my dogs! I also help out with vetting would be rescue dog owners and transporting dogs to their new homes.
