An Introduction to Effective Management

This course forms the initial step for first time managers.  It provides the basic knowledge, skills and techniques and outlines what is expected from them in their role and helps them make the transition from team member to manager. It deals with the function of management, the roles managers need to undertake to achieve objectives through their staff, as well as how to get the best from the people for whom they are responsible. Participants will assess their own skills and knowledge gaps, and identify an action plan for personal development in the role of manager.

Newly appointed or promoted managers, existing managers with no previous management training and assistant managers aspiring to become managers.
