"I am excited about my appointment at Cooper Parry and to be working with highly skilled individuals with complementary skills, across the Midlands region."

Regional business advisers Cooper Parry have appointed Lucinda Matkin as Senior Manager within their Business Recovery and Insolvency Services team.

Lucinda has considerable restructuring, recovery and insolvency experience, working across a wide range of sectors, varying in complexity and size, having spent the last six years with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

Her advice helped a number of high profile retailers, including the administration of Adams Childrenswear and Stead and Simpson, which resulted in viable businesses that continue to trade today, together with others which have avoided insolvency proceedings.

As a result she also has significant experience within the property sector; both from the tenant perspective for retailers and landlord perspectives for developers.

Her role at Cooper Parry will be to offer both advisory services for restructuring and turnaround, as well as formal insolvency procedures. She will advise corporates and stakeholders on the options available in difficult financial situations, together with implementing such advice.

Lucinda said, "I am excited about my appointment at Cooper Parry and to be working with highly skilled individuals with complementary skills, across the Midlands region. This is a great opportunity for me to build on Cooper Parry's reputation for being a leading professional services firm."

She continued, "The main challenge within corporate recovery always lies in corporates and individuals seeking advice sooner rather than later, so we can offer more options in overcoming their difficulties. We are here to help, and hope that people will feel they can approach us with any financial or restructuring query."

Lucinda’s Insolvency experience includes administrations, receiverships, CVAs and liquidations.  Her advisory experience includes, but is not limited to, contingency planning, short term cash flow management, independent business reviews for lenders, recovery plans, forecasting, identifying vulnerabilities, recommendations.

Tyrone Courtman, Business Recovery and Insolvency Partner at Cooper Parry, said, "We are delighted that Lucinda has joined us.  She will help us meet the ever increasing demands from our clients to help them in these challenging times."
