Business Turnaround Partner, Tyrone Courtman, from Regional business advisory practise Cooper Parry, has been appointed president of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA).
Tyrone spoke of his new position as UK president ‘It is both an honour and pleasure to take over the role of TMA (UK) President for 2008. The TMA is an organisation close to my heart and having served for a number of years on the board, it is a great privilege to pick up the baton. I look forward to helping the TMA grow and evolve to meet the needs of its members and the markets it serves in 2008.’
The TMA, founded in USA in 1988, is a non-profit organisation for practitioners in corporate renewals and turnaround management. It now has a presence in over 40 chapters worldwide and in excess of 7,500 members.
Tyrone continued ‘I see a critical part of my role over the coming year will be to promote the capabilities of our members to a wider audience, helping to ensure that when trouble emerges, it is from our ranks that advice is frequently sought.
‘I am determined to maintain the momentum through strong leadership and effective communication of what TMA (UK) and the whole of the turnaround community stands for and value we can bring to business.’
