Speakers

ANDY JONES Not For Profit Director & Head of Education

Andy is a Director in the Not For Profit team. He has significant experience in working with academies, independent schools, charities and other not for profit organisations, and specialises in providing audit and assurance services as well as advising on financial reporting, internal controls and governance.

Glen Bott Not For Profit Director & Head of Charities

Glen works with a variety of clients across the Not for Profit sector, including local and regional charities, academies and colleges. By sharing best practice and improving the robustness and efficiency of their systems and controls, Glen’s aim is to enable his clients to focus on delivering their strategic mission and objectives, safe in the knowledge that their financial reporting systems are efficient, accurate and fully compliant.

Matt Blake VAT Senior Manager

Matt is a VAT specialist here at Cooper Parry. A lot of what he works on is resolving situations people wouldn’t be in if they’d sought VAT advice before doing something, rather than seeking help when HMRC kick off about it. His expertise involves litigation relating to withheld VAT repayments, solicitors’ disbursements and VAT exemptions for medical care. And he’s very good at getting a client’s money out of HMRC’s pockets and back where it belongs.

Nathan Woollery Employment Tax Director

Nathan helps all types of businesses navigate the complex world of tax. If there is a business out there that engages or makes payments/benefits to people, he’s there to make sure they are doing it correctly, efficiently and appropriately.

Tax can be so complicated with the jargon, frequent changes and endless conditions. Nathan enjoys being able to take a client challenge, resolve it and communicate what was a complex scenario, in a way that a client understands, values and finds useful.
