What do you do?

I work in the audit team but normally if friends ask, I say I’m an accountant as our job is quite varied and if I went into detail I would just ramble on for ages and get on their nerves! ? But if I had to try and explain, in a nut shell …. I work in a team and we ask the client questions and obtain evidence to support various balances in the accounts to provide an opinion on whether they are free from significant errors/ fraud.

Why do you do it?

I really love what CP is about but the main reason why I like working at CP is the people. It’s great working with a team who are down to earth, supportive and incredibly knowledgeable. I have been at CP for 2 and ½ years now and I’ve learnt so much in that time and made so many great friends.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I have recently trained as a Mental Health first aider and I am really impressed with how much effort is being put in by CP surrounding removing the stigma relating to mental health. It’s great that we are also promoting what we are doing, hopefully many of our clients will see what a positive impact these types of projects have on the employees at CP and implement similar projects in their companies to further help remove the stigma.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

I absolutely love gardening, even if it is freezing cold and raining I’d much prefer to be outside. I’d love to have a garden good enough to open up for charity, I think this would be a great opportunity to raise money for great causes, meet new people and is a great excuse to drink tea and eat cake.
