What do you do?

I have been part of the Cooper Parry family for 8 years now, my role in facilities it must be said is very varied which is great as every day is different, from FOH concierge where I welcome Clients and Staff on arrival to our offices and see to their wellbeing while on site, to GDPR archiving and file destruction, but much more in between.

Why do you do it?

It was a complete career change for me, it was a very hard decision leaving my previous employer of 28 years, but I have never looked back after 8 years of being a CP’er. I love coming to work, the buzz of the office, seeing my work colleagues and meeting new people, and what an environment to work in!

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I get to be involved with all sorts of projects, I am now qualified in Level 1 British Sign Language which means basic communication with HOH or deaf clients is not a problem, I introduced my fitness instructor to CP and she now runs the onsite ‘Clubbercise’ and ‘Circuits’ classes for staff and clients to get involved in.  To ensure we are fully GDPR compliant, I play an active role in all onsite and offsite file retention and destruction, which has formed a big part of my workload over the last couple of years.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

I would like to visit at least 1 country in each continent – my travelling has only reached 3 out of the 7 so far although, I don’t do being cold so I may give Antarctica a miss!!
