Count me in. I'd love to hear from Cooper Parry about relevant updates and insights.

    What do you do?

I’m an Assistant Manager in the NFP team at CP. I am passionate about the sector and service a range of clients, from arts centres to academies and everything in between. I love getting to know my clients and strive to provide efficient services with a personal touch. I want to be approachable for clients, and love adding value during the audit. I oversee audits through every stage and get the opportunity to work with dynamic audit teams. I’m privileged to be able to work remotely from sunny Cape Town, South Africa, thanks to CP’s ‘work from anywhere anytime forever’ policy!

    Why do you do it?

There was a time in my life when I didn’t see myself staying in audit, and I planned on moving into a finance role within NFP. What was supposed to be a temporary stop along the way, I found myself in CP and the rest really is history. With a revolutionary approach to audit that puts people first and inspires me to start every day with a smile, I am not going anywhere anytime soon! I truly feel like I am making a difference at a firm that cares, not only about clients, but our people too.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

At CP I have mostly been involved with audit and assurance projects but have had the fortune to work with a wide variety of clients! This broad experience has given me a lot of valuable insight into how different businesses run – what they do well and what they could maybe do better. NFP is such a special team as our clients really do have a lot of passion for what they do. I love understanding the “why” behind the charity, and seeing how they translate that into their everyday.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

The absolute top of my bucket list would be an all-out holiday in Italy. I really want to immerse myself in the culture and experience all the beauty that the country has to offer – from stunning beaches to architectural landmarks, famous artworks and sculptures, and even the snowy alps. A huge bonus would also be all of the authentic Italian food, which has long been a favorite of mine (I will never say no to a pizza or pasta!)
