What do you do?
I work within the VAT and Capital Allowance teams, supporting them with various processes, diary management and ad hoc administrative tasks.
My role enables the teams to spend more time focusing on the Tax and VAT needs of our clients. No two days are the same which makes it varied and interesting.
Why do you do it?
Having worked in banking for 11 years almost, before being made redundant, I had no idea what I wanted to do next.
Whilst matching my skills to the job market, I was drawn to Cooper Parry’s website and was amazed by the company, culture and ethos. I secured a three-month temporary Not For Profit administrator role and loved it, so I was extremely fortunate to secure a permanent post within the Tax Team doing what I love.
What kind of projects have you been involved in?
I am currently implementing a new initiative within the team to streamline our working practices. The outcome will mean that we increase productivity by reducing the customer journey time.
What’s on top of your bucket list?
I don’t have a bucket list as such.
Spending quality time with my family and friends are the best treasures to me. I also love spontaneity. There’s nothing better than waking up on a weekend, jumping in the car and heading off to a random destination…
