What do you do?
I partner with a range of clients and candidates throughout the West Coast of Scotland, matching their skill sets /needs, personalities to each other. It’s rarely just about moving roles or about a key skill set, and so I work with them to really find out what the key drivers/needs are to find the most suitable role/candidate. In doing so, I’ve built long lasting relationships with both candidates and clients, which is the element that I most enjoy in my role.
Why do you do it?
Like most recruiters, I fell into the role. I registered with an agency and was asked in the meeting if I had thought about recruitment. 3 decades later, I’m still here, enjoying the role more than ever. It’s a hugely rewarding career.
What kind of projects have you been involved in?
Over the last 3 decades, I’ve been lucky to work on incredibly exciting projects, from complete start-ups (global finance operations – recruiting end- to-end finance teams, including finance with languages), designed and operated a volume hire project (including assessment centre delivery) and have partnered with Shared Services/GBS/finance operations across Central Scotland along with partnering with a great number of SME’s to find the best talent available.
What’s on top of your bucket list?
Top of my bucket list is to travel around Canada!
