WHAT DO YOU DO?

I’m a manager in our Projects Team, looking after the Assurance projects that clients have. I also have a big role in managing the talent in the Big Business team.

WHY DO YOU DO IT?

I’ve always had a love for numbers since school, I was the geek at the back of the Math’s class who had done her homework and got top marks.

After studying Accounting and Finance at Uni, when it came to applying for a placement year I wasn’t sure I wanted to sit at a desk 9 – 5 staring at the same wall day in day out. I applied for CP and was accepted as an audit placement student, and the rest is history!

I see a lot of our Projects as mini quizzes, like a sudoku, piecing together all the bits to show a complete picture of how something works!

I love the variety of that my job brings, every day is different and I get to work with amazing teams, internal and external, to help team members and clients achieve their goals. I really do enjoy my job working at CP, I’ve grown into a role that suits me, working with brilliant people and building stronger relationships every week.

WHAT KIND OF PROJECTS HAVE YOU BEEN INVLOVED IN?

My specialties are Grants, Turnover Certificates and Financial Reporting projects.

As my nickname is ‘organisational queen’ I love the recurring nature of Grants and Turnover certificates, but I also enjoy getting into the nitty gritty parts of acquisition accounting, conversions and other infrequent accounting standards that clients have to deal with. I worked in audit since 2014 so I’ve seen a far amount of changes and key areas that sometimes require a bit of TLC.

WHAT’S ON THE TOP OF YOUR BUCKET LIST?

Top of my bucket list would be to do a safari and see all the incredible animals (in as close to their natural habitat as possible), or, as I grew up in a prime ‘rom com’ era, I’d love to be in Times Square watching the ball drop at New Years!
