WHAT DO YOU DO?

I analyse management accounts for businesses involved in mergers, acquisitions, refinances, or investments to help present a clear view of company’s financial information. Our goal is to help clients understand the financial position of a company before they buy or sell. My role also includes identifying potential risks prior to a transaction and articulating our findings within a due diligence report.

WHY DO YOU DO IT?

After spending four years in our Audit team, I felt I needed a change. I moved to CP’s Transaction Services team to look at businesses through a commercial lense rather than a compliance-based one. I really enjoy being involved in a variety of transactions and sectors whilst adding value to clients who may not have had previous experience of buying/selling businesses.

WHAT KINDS OF PROJECTS HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED IN?

I have worked on a variety of buy – and sell-side engagements including financial and vendor due diligence, vendor assist and refinancing projects. One of the most exciting deals I have been involved with was Rockpool Investments’ acquisition of Imperial Corporate Events, a high-end hospitality business focussing on sporting and cultural events. I enjoyed working on this deal because I find the events sector an exciting industry to work in.

WHAT’S ON THE TOP OF YOUR BUCKET LIST?

I have a passion for travelling and sport so I would love to watch England play test cricket in every possible country, go on a Lions tour and watch West Brom win the Champions League.
