Stuart Moran

WHAT DO YOU DO?

As a Senior Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Consultant I help businesses to navigate their way through the maze of standards, legal and regulatory requirements across different areas and industries including information security, quality, environmental management, occupational health and safety, information governance and medical devicesI work across multiple industries and across multi-site and multi-geography organizations including supporting supply chain assurance.

WHY DO YOU DO IT?

I like to help, add value and see organizations succeed once they have the knowledge and understanding of what is required. I like to see businesses leverage the standards and regulatory environments to become more efficient, effective and successful regardless of industry.

I came to management consultancy as a natural progression from a previous career in the military and working for businesses in highly regulated industries such as aerospace, rail and medical devices, in the software and data management world in compliance and assurance roles.

WHAT KIND OF SPECIAL PROJECTS HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED IN?

I have collaborated with clients on multiple-standard integrated management systems. I have enjoyed working with and adding value to organizations across multiple industries and practices.

Client benefits come not just from performing activities such as document creation, review or audit but from knowledge transfer, coaching and mentoring clients and their staff. There is no greater compliment than “we couldn’t have done it without you, but we can do this on our own now.”

WHATS ON TOP OF YOUR BUCKET LIST?

To enjoy life in the moment, say ‘yes’ more and spend time with family and running around a beach or forest like a 3-year-old.

If I had a classic bucket list it would be to complete a challenge such as the Camino de Santiago to challenge myself and see parts of the world at a slower pace.
