What do you do?

I focus on ethical matters and regulatory compliance within the Risk & Compliance Team, on behalf of the firm. I find that I have various projects on the go at any one time, which keeps things really interesting.

Why do you do it?

I enjoy project work and supporting others. Lists might sound boring to some, but it’s the way I work. I get energised from getting things done, and supporting others to get their work done with confidence. I trained in audit practice, working for two medium sized firms then moved to ICAEW for several years enjoying a huge variety of work. I now get the same variety at Cooper Parry and I’m really happy I moved here.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

Since joining the firm, I have been involved in the updating of relevant policies and guidance to assist our audit teams and non-audit teams. I have supported the firm with recent acquisitions and have responsibility for monitoring several policies across the firm. I under take the firm’s client money and designated professional body licence reviews and have lots of ideas and projects to work on to keep supporting the firm as it continues to grow. Along with all of the above, the day-to-day sees me assisting teams with ethical queries in the main and supporting our Consult function at Cooper Parry. No two days are the same!

What’s on top of your bucket list?

Always love a holiday – city break or beach and have plans up my sleeve for various destinations over the next few years, including some longer haul trips.
I’m a Bolton Wanderers fan, but don’t live up North anymore. I try to watch them as much as I can and have a number of grounds on my list to get to that I haven’t visited before.
