Cooper Parry’s annual FD Seminar returns for 2021, bringing you need-to-know updates and insights across the whole spectrum of finance.

This year, we’ll be running it as a hybrid event, giving you the option to attend in person at our Sky View office in the East Midlands, or online, through the virtual events platform, Remo. EDWARD RANDS Director, ECR Professional Limited

I was Cooper Parry’s Risk & Professional Standards Partner for eleven years, leading the technical team responsible for maintaining and updating accounting and auditing knowledge. 

I was also the founder chairman of the UK technical committee with which the firm was involved, and a contributing author of a commercially published IFRS manual. Since 2019, I’ve worked as an independent consultant, advising firms on technical and regulator

As Capital Allowances Tax Director, I save our clients cash by maximising the tax relief available on their fixed asset spend through capital allowances. 

Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked with clients of all sizes, from startups to established PLCs, on a whole range of projects totalling more than £9.7bn of expenditure, with £4.3bn of tax relief delivered in that time. 

GEMMA DOBSON Personal Tax Senior Manager, Cooper Parry

I’m a Senior Manager in our Private Client Tax team, helping individuals and families to organise and protect their wealth through effective tax planning, with a particular focus on international tax. 

I get to know people, learn about their passions, and listen to their goals – whether that’s growing a business, buying a car or a new home, saving for children’s school fees or seeking adventures. Then, I help them to create a plan to achieve that.
