SHE ROCKS BUSINESS: The Magnificence of Humanity
Date: Wednesday 19 November 2025
Time: 18:00pm – 22:00pm
Venue: Shakespeare Martineau, Birmingham
We’re back with another inspiring She Rocks Business event. This time we’re going to hear from Michelle Mills-Porter who, whilst on holiday, found herself in the middle of the Boxing Day Tsunami. She survived.
In her moving and inspiring story, Michelle will share her extraordinary account of surviving one of the deadliest natural disasters in modern history. Through moments both deeply emotional and unexpectedly light, she reveals how in the midst of extreme adversity, people come together, uniting across boundaries, collaborating instinctively, showing profound compassion, and discovering resilience they never knew they possessed.
We’ll discover how her experiences in crisis translate into valuable lessons for business, the boardroom, and family life.
This will be an incredible event – an opportunity to be inspired by a message of hope and human spirit, to reflect on how unity and empathy can transform challenges into opportunities, and to leave with renewed confidence in your own ability to rise above obstacles.
This is exactly what She Rocks Business is all about. Launched in partnership with Shakespeare Martineau, it’s a close-knit network for female leaders. A place to connect, learn, and share experiences in a space that’s open, supportive, and inspiring. Through intimate, collaborative events, we bring together trailblazers, rising stars, and everyone in between – so you can take newfound inspiration and relationships back into your day-to-day.
Expect an open, honest, and thought-provoking conversation, plus plenty of time to build relationships, exchange ideas, and support each other.
She Rocks Business isn’t just another networking group. It’s a movement. And we’d love you to be part of it.
