When CavanaghKelly joined CP in July 2025, it was a meeting of rebel minds.

The Northern Ireland accountancy powerhouse built an exceptional reputation as one of the region’s most respected advisory firms over the last 25 years. They consistently challenged the status quo, always searched for a better way, and grew to 100+ incredibly talented people in the process.

Now, we’re taking that reputation and our combined plans in Northern Ireland to new heights.

WHY NORTHERN IRELAND? WHY NOW?

CavanaghKelly’s arrival came at an opportune moment in CP’s mission to build the UK and Ireland’s most progressive professional services group.

Our alignment on values, vision, and ambition couldn’t be stronger. And with a legacy of challenging the norm, thinking differently and delivering quality service through talented people, CavanaghKelly were already rebels in spirit.

CavanaghKelly’s roots and reputation in the region offer the perfect strategic launchpad to accelerate innovation and growth together, creating more opportunities for our people and clients alike.

The latter focuses on offering smarter, more tailored solutions to our clients’ fast-changing needs. These include wealth management through Cooper Parry Wealth and digital transformation through CP Digital – two new services for CavanaghKelly’s existing client base – as well as the cross-border advisory, BRIS and forensic accounting specialisms that the team brought over as fresh offerings to CP.

THE NEXT CHAPTER: TAKING THE REBEL ROUTE

Since welcoming CavanaghKelly to CP in July, we’ve been aligning our teams, informing our clients, and putting the groundwork in place for a bold journey ahead.

CP’s 100-strong Northern Ireland team currently operates out of our Dungannon hub. This location gives us a powerful platform to build on, using CP’s disruptive energy and national scale to grow into Belfast.

Our existing strengths in media, tech, and retail align perfectly with Belfast’s ecosystem, and the capital offers a fresh talent pool and a new audience of exciting entrepreneurial businesses.

We’ve just gone live with a physical brand teaser campaign championing our presence and bold growth vision in Northern Ireland. From dazzling projections and jet-washed pavement art to digivans and a hot chocolate cart outside Belfast City Hall, team CP braved the elements to give Northern Ireland a glimpse of what’s to come.

As Regional Head of Northern Ireland, what this means to me:

“This is a landmark moment and a real opportunity to grow our presence across Northern Ireland and beyond, and become known as the go-to firm for top-tier client service. We’re building something truly special here, and the benefits for our people and our clients are going to be huge.”

Ade Cheatham, CP’s CEO added:

“This is a rebellion with purpose. We’re combining CavanaghKelly’s deep local roots and expertise with CP’s national scale and challenger mindset. When the deal completed earlier this year, it laid the foundations for so many aspects of our 3 Year Vision. Now, together with Des and his team, we’re focused on turning that vision into a reality.”

Delve more into both in our plans for Ireland and beyond in our 3 Year Vision and as ever, if you have comments or want to speak to one of our experts about how we can support you & your business, drop me a line.
