What do you do?
I work closely with business owners, management teams and investors advising them on buying and selling business and private equity transactions.
Why do you do it?
Having advised on transactions for over fifteen years, I still get a huge amount of satisfaction helping deliver great deals for clients. I genuinely feel I’m in a very privileged position to advise business owners and management teams on what is often a one off and life changing transaction.
What kind of projects have you been involved in?
I have completed over 40 deals across a variety of sectors including cross-border and domestic company sales and private equity transactions.
Recent transactional highlights include advising on the sale of Casepak Recycling to Reconomy, the sale of MEATER to US based Traeger Grills, the sale Charles Pugh to Swedish listed Cary Group and advising the management teams on both Inflexion’s investment in Virgin Experience Days and Alcuin’s investment in Jigsaw24.
What’s on top of your bucket list?
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my wife and two young children. I try to play tennis regularly (once a week) with a healthy dose of skiing in the winter.
One of my few regrets is not doing a ski season before I got a proper job and I’d love to spend a season with my family in Whistler and of course join the British & Irish Lions on their next tour of South Africa (having missed the last one due to Covid!).
