What do you do?

I help mid-market owner managers sell their business. As a Corporate Finance advisor I also work with owners and management teams seeking private equity investment or seeking finance.

Why do you do it?

Leaving University, I fell into accountancy, once there quickly realised I wanted to do Corporate Finance. Helping someone go through the process of selling their Company, often their life’s work, is a privilege. Understanding a client’s motivation, the key drivers of their business and working through the hurdles on any deal makes my job exciting and challenging. It’s why I enjoy coming to work every day.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

Over five years in Corporate Finance I’ve worked with businesses in the Healthcare, Business Services and the Industrial sectors. We’ve achieved great results for Vendors selling to UK trade buyers, Private Equity and overseas Companies. Through our International network I know investment bankers across the world and have sold businesses to Europe, the US and India as a result. A recent sale to an Indian buyer ended up with a celebration at the Indian embassy which was a great way to end a successful deal.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

Outside of work I love cycling. I want to cycle the sportive versions of the five monuments. I did Paris-Roubaix this year. Flat but bumpy. To complete the list I’ll need tackle some hills.
