What do you do?

I’m a Senior Associate within the service charge team. Mostly focusing on commercial properties, I assist our clients with preparation and audit of their year end service charge accounts, as well as providing reporting and process support to my CP colleagues through my flair with a spreadsheet. 

Why do you do it?

Having gained a degree in economics at Swansea University and returning home, I fell into a job in property management which has evolved into a career in accounting. The combination of accounting and property provides a nice balance between fast paced client work and time spent playing with spreadsheets, two things I enjoy. 

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I have been tasked with heading up a client relationship, which has provided me with a good opportunity for independence in my approach to workload and organisation, as well as adding value to the client by allowing me to focus on their portfolio. I have also had the opportunity to use my experience with excel to take on our department reporting and to help improve processes, such as rebuilding the service charge quarterly planner. 

What’s on top of your bucket list?

As an on and off poker player, an ambition is to visit Las Vegas, enter a few tournaments and then travel the States. Places such as San Francisco and New Orleans would be on the list due to my love of all things music.
