What do you do?

I work in the Big Business team as an Audit Manager. My role is very mixed, sometimes working on statutory audits for clients, and other times working on small or large projects with the client’s finance team. It is lovely to always be doing something a bit different – it definitely keeps me on my toes! 

Why do you do it?

After studying Accounting and Finance at Uni, when it came to applying for a placement year I wasn’t sure I wanted to sit at a desk 9 – 5 staring at the same wall day in day out. I applied for CP and was accepted as an audit placement student, and the rest is history! 

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

Within the team, I work on a variety of projects, including managing turnover certificates and grant audits. These smaller projects are usually mandatory, reoccurring requirements for clients, and once we’ve been through the process once and CP have understood the system, it’s normally smooth sailing!  

I also get involved with larger projects such as helping clients prepare accounts for IPO listing and group consolidations. We really care as a team about our clients, we always go above and beyond, and we feel like our teams end up working as one in these larger projects and we understand their business and their needs as much as they do!  

What’s on top of your bucket list?

To be with all my friends and family to watch the ball drop at Times Square.  

Growing up watching every rom-com and chick–flick filmed in New York it has always been a place I’ve wanted to visit. I would love to make a once-in-a-lifetime trip with all those special to me, celebrating all the amazing things to come in life.
