What do you do?

I’m joining Cooper Parry as Regional Leader for Yorkshire and the North East with a focus on building the firm’s presence across the region.

In simple terms that means bringing the energy you feel from everyone at CP into the regional market to grow our client base, and also recruit other like-minded people keen to experience something different and be part of the CP story.

Why do you do it?

As an auditor, its really rewarding to know that the work you do gives others confidence in the numbers reported in a company’s financial statements.

But what really makes me tick is that I love meeting people and talking to them about their businesses, then using my varied experience to help bring insights and try and help them along the way.

The people side is also important internally and I’m looking forward to building a team that works across disciplines to service our clients’ needs.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

Some of my strongest client relationships are ones where I’ve been alongside them through their growth journeys, experiencing the highs and lows and supporting them through those.

I’ve travelled the world with my clients, visiting supermarkets, retail outlets, manufacturing facilities and even a diamond mine!

I’ve worked on audits, non-financial assurance, IPOs and lots of M&A transactions with owner managed businesses and private equity.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

Well the dream of being a professional cricketer definitely failed a long time ago so the bucket list now involves trying lots of different restaurants (I’m a real foodie!) and travel destinations with my family.
