Our People

What do you do?

At heart, my job is about helping our people do their best work, which ultimately means creating a better experience for our clients.

I work across the team to develop people, improve processes and find smarter, simpler ways of working. That can mean supporting someone to grow in confidence, helping a team navigate change or looking at a process and asking, “How could we make this better?”

I really enjoy bringing people, processes and technology together to make things work more effectively. The best part is seeing those changes make a genuine difference, giving our teams more time to focus on clients and helping create the smooth, personal experience we want every client to have.

WhY do you do IT?

I’ve always enjoyed seeing people develop and helping them realise what they’re capable of.

There’s something incredibly rewarding about creating an environment where people can grow in confidence, build their skills and succeed as a team. And in Wealth, there’s an added dimension to that: the work we do behind the scenes ultimately helps our clients feel clearer and more confident about their financial future.

For me, that combination of people, problem-solving and making a tangible difference is what keeps the job interesting.

WhAT KINDS OF PROJECTS HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED IN?

I’m naturally a problem-solver, so I tend to enjoy projects where there’s an opportunity to challenge how things have always been done and find a better way.

I’ve been involved in everything from helping teams navigate periods of growth and change to introducing new systems and streamlining processes. A lot of my role is about connecting the dots between people, technology and what the business is trying to achieve.

But improving a process for the sake of it isn’t the goal. It has to make a difference. If we can remove unnecessary admin, give our people more time to focus on what they do best and make things simpler and smoother for our clients, then we’ve achieved something worthwhile.

Seeing those improvements come to life, and knowing they make things better for both our people and our clients is the part I enjoy most.

WHAT’S ON TOP OF YOUR BUCKET LIST?

My bucket list is probably an equal mix of adventure and simple pleasures.

I’d love to explore more European cities, discovering different cultures, trying the local food and experiencing how people live in different parts of the world. I’ve still got plenty of places I’d like to tick off the list.

Closer to home, I’d love to improve my painting skills and finally get my allotment looking like the version I have in my head! They’re both a good contrast to everyday life. A chance to slow down, switch off and enjoy creating something.

Whether it’s exploring somewhere completely new or spending a few quiet hours painting or gardening, I think there’s a lot to be said for enjoying the process rather than always rushing towards the end result.
