What do you do?

I help people change their lives. It might sound like a big statement, but I genuinely believe in the freedom and peace of mind that a great financial plan can bring.

I work with individuals and families to give them clarity and confidence about their future, helping them make important decisions, understand what’s possible and move forward with purpose.

Ultimately, it’s about helping people use their money to create the life they really want and, hopefully, live their own version of happily ever after.

WhY do you do IT?

People have lots of financial ‘stuff’: pensions, investments, savings, property, but often no clear idea of how it all fits together or what it means for the life they want to lead.

That can bring up all sorts of questions. Can I afford to spend more? Am I on track? Can I help my children? What do I still need to do?

That’s where I come in. I’m lucky enough to help people make sense of everything, understand what’s possible and give them the confidence and practical steps to get where they want to be.

Life is a journey, and I like to think of myself as the driving instructor alongside them, helping navigate the twists and turns, while making sure they’re always the one in the driving seat.

WhAT KINDS OF PROJECTS HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED IN?

We love the number crunching and finding smart ways to make our clients’ finances work harder, but it’s the moments where financial planning genuinely changes someone’s life that stay with me.

Like the couple who left one of our meetings and, the very next day, drove to Dorset to look at a new home. They hadn’t realised they already had ‘enough’, enough to leave London behind and confidently start the next chapter of their lives.

Or the business owner who wanted to step away from his company and get back to where it all began: letterpress work, but this time purely for the enjoyment of it. Helping him understand that he was financially secure enough to make that change, and then sharing that journey with him, was incredibly rewarding.

For me, those are the moments that show what financial planning is really about: giving people the confidence to stop wondering “Can I?” and start thinking “What’s next?”

WHAT’S ON TOP OF YOUR BUCKET LIST? 

I’ve got a few things I’d really love to tick off the list. Some are a little selfish, like cycling up Alpe d’Huez, which is currently sitting right at the top. Who knows, by the time you read this, I might even have done it!

The others are all about creating great experiences with my family. I’d love to take them to Disney World, Kennedy Space Centre and Universal, one of the best holidays I remember from growing up myself, and something I’d love for them to experience too.

And, if I’m being completely truthful, any adventure that gets everyone off their iPads for a while is a win in my book!
