What do you do?

I help support clients through buy-side and sell-side deals. In simple terms when speaking to family who ask if I can do their ‘tax returns’, I let them know in my job I help businesses understand the tax implications of a transaction, identify potential risks, and make sure there are no surprises post-deal. 

WhY do you do IT?

Like most tax professionals, I’ll admit I fell into it—but I stayed because no two days are the same. Transaction tax is fast-paced, commercial, and constantly evolving. Working at CP means I get to work alongside incredibly smart, down-to-earth people who genuinely care about making a difference. (And yes, I don’t mind a good spreadsheet either).

WhAT KINDS OF PROJECTS HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED IN?

I advise on both the buy-side and sell-side of corporate transactions, ranging from local owner-managed business sales to complex cross-border acquisitions. I help clients assess tax risks, structure deals efficiently, and navigate due diligence. Ultimately, the goal is to give clients clarity and confidence so they can make informed decisions and avoid costly surprises later on. 

WhAT’S ON TOP OF YOUR BUCKET LIST? 

Travelling to Japan and South Africa is high on my list. It’s somewhere I’ve always wanted to explore for the culture, food, and completely different pace of life.
