What do you do?

With 25 years in the recruitment game, I’ve spent an extensive part of my of career connecting top-tier finance talent with some of the West of Scotland’s most ambitious organisations. I specialise in senior appointments—CFOs, Finance Directors, and other key leadership roles and I’ve built long-standing relationships with both clients and candidates who have built their trust in me to get it right.

I know the local Scottish market inside out, and I take pride in understanding not just the technical fit, but the cultural one too. Whether it’s a fast-growing SME or a well-established corporate, I bring a strategic, and down-to-earth approach to every search. At this level, it’s about more than just filling a role—it’s about shaping the future of a business.

Recruitment has rapidly diversified over the years, but the one constant is the value of listening, being honest, and delivering results.

Why do you do it?

I started out working in HR in retail after studying Psychology at University. I’ve always been interested in people and what drives them, so HR felt like a good fit. But over time, I realised I really enjoyed the pace of the recruitment side the more so it felt like a great way to combine my degree and experience—helping people find roles where they can really thrive and be part of their career journey. CP has a great people culture and a fantastic range of products to offer and the support for their employees makes that easy to pass on to the customers we provide for.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I’ve worked on a variety of dynamic international recruitment assignments, helping clients expand into new markets and achieve real results. I’ve also led the delivery of well-attended, strategically marketed client events that built strong relationships and drove new business opportunities. On top of that, I’ve been part of successful bid teams, playing a key role in winning major contracts and delivering real value for clients.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

The top of my bucket list is to travel around more of Asia. There’s something just so diverse about the cultures, landscapes, and histories across Asian countries and I am interested the vibrant street food scenes in Thailand and Vietnam, and would also love to explore Japan, Cambodia & Singapore too . Travelling helps me step out of my routine, meet new people, and see life from a different perspective.
