What do you do?

At Cooper Parry, I advise business owners and management teams on M&A strategy, supporting them through both acquisitions and disposals. For many owners, this represents a once-in-a-lifetime event, helping them realise the value of years of hard work. Day to day, my role is varied — from preparing marketing materials and managing due diligence processes, to liaising closely with key stakeholders and identifying potential buyers for a business.

Why do you do it?

I enjoy getting under the hood of businesses across a range of industries, taking the time to understand what truly drives value in each case. Every transaction is different, which makes the work both interesting and challenging. A significant amount of effort goes into delivering a deal, so it’s particularly rewarding to see it through to completion — especially when you’ve helped guide decisions that will shape the future direction of a business.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I have worked on a wide range of buy-side and sell-side transactions, partnering with outstanding businesses across sectors including Healthcare, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Retail. Recent experience includes advising on the sale of a specialist healthcare company, as well as supporting the successful sale of an agrochemical business to a public limited company.

What’s top of your bucket list?

I enjoy following a variety of sports, but experiencing the atmosphere of the Super Bowl in person is at the top of the list.
