WHAT DO YOU DO?

I’m the New Business Director at URM Consulting, part of Cooper Parry’s Cyber Infosec team. In a nutshell, my day revolves around lots of conversations, with a little admin sprinkled throughout!  Whether I’m chatting with clients or catching up with colleagues, my focus is always on listening, problem-solving, and finding the right solutions to help overcome challenges. I really value building strong relationships, so when something crops up, I’m the go-to person my clients can rely on. I also love supporting newer team members, helping them grow in confidence and sharpen their skills so they can thrive in their roles.

WHY DO YOU DO IT?

I do what I do because I genuinely love it! I found my way into sales after working in the leisure industry—I was craving a new challenge, and from the very first day, it just clicked. Picking up the phone and having real conversations with people felt completely natural. There’s honestly no better feeling than building a strong relationship with a client and reaching that point where they’re calling you first. That connection, that trust—it’s what drives me. Over time, my passion for the job has only grown, and now I wake up genuinely excited to dive into each day

WHAT KIND OF PROJECTS HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED IN?

Since joining URM, I have been involved in many projects, with clients and internally. One of my favorite projects is hosting URM’s monthly webinars with one of our brilliant consultants. They are a series of live, relaxed, conversational events designed to share practical insights and actionable advice.  We cover a wide range of topics, from strengthening your information assets and protecting systems against cyber threats, to navigating compliance with standards like ISO 27001 and regulations such as the GDPR.  The aim is always to keep things approachable and engaging, making sure attendees (up to 500 per event ) are left with clear, useful takeaways they can apply in their own organisations.

WHATS ON TOP OF YOUR BUCKET LIST?

For a long time, I only had 1 thing on my bucket list which was to jump out of a plane. I was lucky enough to do this on the beaches of Australia in 2019. Since then, if there is something I would like to do, I schedule it in the diary and get it done!
