WHAT DO YOU DO?

I help clients with their information security and business continuity managements systems. This is from initial assessments through to implementation and internal audits. I also support clients when they are undergoing external audits by the certification auditors. 

I also develop, deliver and scribe business continuity and cyber incident exercises for clients. 

WHY DO YOU DO IT?

I am in the fortunate position of enjoying what I do and as such I do not think of it as a job.  I enjoy the opportunity of working with clients in different environments and sectors, as each experience tends to have their own unique aspects. 

WHAT KIND OF PROJECTS HAVE YTOU BEEN INVOLVED IN?

I have delivered business continuity, risk assessments and information security to clients in a large number of sectors.  These have included airlines, public sector (e.g. Healthcare, local authorities) and the private sector, such as finance, manufacturing, gaming, real estate and education. 

These engagements have allowed me to gain significant insights into the business operations of the clients and the key aspects that are important to their business.  This then drives the relevant initiatives to improve their position in the areas of information security and business continuity, with the additional benefit of liaising with the supporting technology areas to ensure that they are able to meet the requirements of the business in these areas. 

WHAT’S ON TOP OF YOUR BUCKET LIST?

I would love to travel through the Dolomites (Northeast Italy) to Austria via the Brenner Pass.  This is of particular interest to me as my father was force marched from southern Italy to Poland via this route as a POW during WWII after Italy surrendered to the Allies.
