What do you do?

I joined Hutcheon Mearns as a Resourcer to support the Glasgow Office and I have progressed into the role of Recruitment Consultant. My role is centered by people, I communicate with candidates and clients on a daily basis trying to find the best possible talent for transactional roles that I am working on.  

Why do you do it?

I discovered recruitment after graduating from university in November 2024, at a time when I was still exploring my career direction. I quickly realized how much I enjoy connecting people with opportunities and helping both candidates and clients achieve their goals. Transitioning into a consultant role felt like a natural next step, and I’m genuinely excited about where this career can take me. 

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I’ve gained great experience working with my manager, Pamela McCulloch, supporting key clients. I’ve also attended several client visits, which have deepened my understanding of the market and what businesses are looking for. These experiences have helped me strengthen client relationships and deliver more tailored recruitment solutions. 

What’s on top of your bucket list?

I would love to complete a World Major Marathon. I ran my first marathon in Paris in April 2025, and the atmosphere and sense of achievement were unmatched. I’ve always loved travelling, so combining that with running would be incredible. Running was a huge part of my life growing up, and it’s been great to find that passion again.
