WHAT DO YOU DO?

When friends ask what I do, I usually say I help businesses navigate buying or selling companies. I focus on the tax side of deals by spotting risks early, shaping how transactions are structured, and making sure there are no unwelcome surprises once the deal is done. In short, I make sure tax works in favour of a good deal rather than getting in the way.

WHY DO YOU DO IT?

Although I started with a medical background and once aspired to become a doctor, my natural affinity for numbers soon led me in a different direction. An early introduction to tax and accounting through a seminar sparked my interest, and I was quickly drawn to the profession. Since then, I’ve qualified as a chartered accountant, completed a Masters in International Business, and built a career in tax. I particularly enjoy seeing tax, accounting, and commercial considerations come together in practice, helping clients navigate key moments in their business journey.

WHAT KIND OF SPECIAL PROJECTS HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED IN?

I’ve worked on a wide range of transactions across the deal lifecycle, from early-stage structuring through to post-completion integration. This includes mergers and acquisitions, disposals, group reorganisations, refinancing, and cross-border transactions for both UK and international clients.

Whether it’s identifying tax efficiencies that improve deal value or managing tax risk in complex transactions, my focus is always on delivering practical tax advice that helps clients achieve the best possible outcome.

WHATS ON TOP OF YOUR BUCKET LIST?

Top of my list is visiting Japan. I’m captivated by its beautiful blend of rich history, vibrant culture, and cutting-edge innovation, and I can’t wait to explore it all firsthand!

I also dream of learning to play the piano well enough to perform one of my favourite Beethoven sonatas, bringing the music I love to life with my own hands.

I’d also love to become a table tennis pro. It’s a fast, fun, and fiercely competitive sport that keeps me active and sharp, and there’s something deeply satisfying about chasing a goal simply for the joy of it!
