Let’s talk today
Want us to call you? Let’s start a conversation!
I help companies get their people genuinely fired up about where they work by assisting in building share schemes that make everyone feel like they’ve got real skin in the game.
I’m also one of the persons start‑ups contact when they want to level up their fundraising; by digging into their SEIS/EIS eligibility, securing HMRC approvals, and helping them unlock those juicy investor tax reliefs that make backing an early‑stage business a whole lot more appealing.
And because numbers matter, I team up with wider groups to produce solid, defensible share valuation reports that feed into bigger tax planning moves and strategic decisions.
I started out as a very generic accountant, but the world of debits, credits, and perfectly balanced trial balances just wasn’t doing it for me.
Tax, on the other hand, was what everyone actually wanted to talk about – probably because it’s money you hand over and never see again, which always sparks a lively chat.
So I made the jump into tax, explored a few different corners of the field, and eventually found my sweet spot: Equity Rewards and Venture Capital schemes.
I helped a client dodge a major income tax headache for one of their key employees by going back to HMRC and getting historic share option valuations re‑agreed – the original valuation numbers came from a generic provider and, unsurprisingly, weren’t exactly expert led.
I also stepped in when another client approached us with a “we may reject you the next time” from HMRC on future EIS funding. We turned that around and helped secure the additional investment they needed, even after HMRC wanting to build a wall in between.
Trekking to Everest Base Camp has been sitting at the top of my bucket list for years; with all the miles being racked up wandering around London, I might as well put that energy to use somewhere with views that aren’t just… the Piccadilly Line.
