- Audit Partner & Head of Manufacturing
Let’s talk today
Want us to call you? Let’s start a conversation!
What do you do?
I’m an Audit and Relationship Partner and lead on manufacturing here at CP.
As an Audit Partner I’m responsible for the audit work we do and signing off the audit reports we give. This means working with clients and our audit teams to understand your business, identify issues and develop solutions to these so that you meet your reporting requirements.
As Head of manufacturing I take the lead on our work in this sector. Working with our teams across the business to support our manufacturing clients.
Why do you do it?
I’m a numbers geek and studied maths at university so accountancy was a natural career choice. But, I’m also curious. I love problem solving and I feel brilliant when I use my skills and experience to make a difference to a colleague or a client.
When it comes to manufacturing, I’ve always loved understanding the market for physical products, a good factory tour and supporting businesses who innovate and excel in making all the things society takes for granted. We have many great manufacturers across the Midlands in food, automotive, aerospace, construction products, textiles, consumer goods and a whole lot more. My passion is supporting such businesses as a trusted advisor who understands your commercial reality and can proactively add value aligned to your ambitions and strategy.
What kind of projects have you been involved in?
Literally hundreds of audits with diverse companies including owner managed, private equity backed and foreign owned subsidiaries. My sector experience is in industrial supply chain, general manufacturing and food and drink supply.
Beyond compliance I’ve been involved in acquisitions, business sales, finance system implementations, post-merger integrations and even a few IPOs. I’m a firm believer that delivering audit, tax and advisory services can and should be a tailored, collaborative and positive experience for a business.
What’s on top of your bucket list?
I’m an explorer, I’ve got my sights on a Safari and wine tour in Southern Africa.
Being a bit more ambitious, I’d like to climb one of the great mountains of the world – not sure I’m up to Everest but maybe Kilimanjaro or Mount Kenya.
Finally, as a proud Scotsman and having just watched the 2026 World Cup from afar I’d love to travel with the tartan army when we next qualify for the big event.
