Let’s talk today
Want us to call you? Let’s start a conversation!
What do you do?
I help our teams that generate the fees focus on their clients and specialist work by making sure all the operational, compliance and client support pieces happen in the background. Basically, I help keep things running as smoothly as possible, so they can do what they’re best at.
Why do you do it?
If I’m honest, I probably did fall into it. I started out supporting senior stakeholders and teams and over time realised I really enjoy being the person who joins the dots, removes problems and makes things happen behind the scenes. What I love about Cooper Parry is the culture and values. It’s a place where people genuinely want to improve things and help each other succeed. The biggest satisfaction for me is seeing things work. Whether that’s a process, a project, a team or a client experience, I enjoy taking something messy and turning it into something that runs smoothly. And if I’m being completely truthful, I quite like having a bit of a magic wand. I enjoy being the person in the background who quietly gets things done, solves problems and makes life easier for everyone else, often without them even realising it’s happened.
What kind of projects have you been involved in?
If there’s one thing I love, it’s taking on projects that genuinely change the way we work, improve the experience for our clients and help CP scale for the future. One of the most exciting projects I’ve led is our KYC Remediation Programme. What started as a compliance exercise quickly became a major business transformation project. We’ve reviewed thousands of client records, identified significant data quality issues, strengthened our compliance position and improved the overall client experience by ensuring records, monitoring and engagement documentation are accurate and up to date.
The success of this programme is now shaping our next challenge: rolling out a dedicated Business Entity Remediation Programme across our owner-managed business population. I’ve also been instrumental in creating a centralised Onboarding Team, transforming what was previously a fragmented process into a consistent, scalable client onboarding experience. By bringing onboarding together under one team, we’ve improved visibility, increased efficiency and helped new clients begin their journey with Cooper Parry faster and with a much better experience. Though this space has now grown even more legs and excited to see the new Onboarding platform in all its glory.
One of my favourite projects was developing our Allocations App. It sounds simple, but it has had a huge impact. The app gives us real-time visibility of support across the business. I’m also passionate about building culture and keeping people connected. That’s why I launched our Business Support newsletter, creating a platform to celebrate successes, recognise brilliant work, communicate new processes and bring together colleagues across multiple locations. It’s become a great way of ensuring people feel informed, valued and part of something bigger.
Alongside all of this, I’ve supported one of the firm’s largest transformation programmes, the migration to Salesforce. From improving data quality and embedding new processes to helping teams adopt new ways of working, the project has laid the foundations for better reporting, greater efficiency and a stronger client experience across the business. What excites me most is that none of these projects are just about processes or systems. They’re about creating capacity for our people, improving the experience for our clients, reducing risk, solving problems and helping CP continue to grow. I get a huge amount of satisfaction from being the person behind the scenes turning ideas into reality and making things happen.
What’s on the top of your bucket list?
I’ve been incredibly lucky in my life and career, having had the opportunity to travel extensively around the world, both for work and for pleasure. Because of that, my bucket list isn’t really about ticking off countries anymore, it’s about experiencing places in a different way. At the top of my list are two iconic road trips: Route 66 in the United States and the North Coast 500 in Scotland. What appeals to me about both is the journey rather than the destination. I love the idea of taking my time, exploring places I wouldn’t normally visit, meeting people along the way and discovering those hidden gems that you only find when you’re not rushing from one tourist attraction to the next. The North Coast 500 has everything I love about the UK, dramatic coastlines, incredible scenery, history and wildlife. Route 66 is the complete opposite: vast landscapes, quirky roadside stops, small-town America and the freedom of the open road. Both feel like adventures that are as much about the experience as they are about where you end up. The other thing on my bucket list is reconnecting with my artistic side. When I was younger, I loved art and I’d love to take some watercolour classes and start painting again. In an ideal world, I’d combine the two, travelling those routes with a sketchbook and watercolours in hand, capturing some of the landscapes and moments along the way. For someone who spends most of their working life organising, planning and helping other people achieve their goals, there’s something quite appealing about slowing down, being creative and simply enjoying the journey. That’s probably why those experiences sit right at the top of my bucket list.
