  • Audit Manager

What do you do?

I am an Audit Manager and my role is split between a diverse portfolio of clients and managing team members in our Private Business East office, as one of the Team Heads.

What I do day-to-day varies a lot – some days I’ll be delivering training or interviewing potential new talent, and other days reviewing audit files and speaking to clients.

Why do you do it?

I genuinely really enjoy my job and love working at CP! I work with a brilliant team of people and the diversity of my role means that I’m never bored and get to build on client and team relationships every week.

My route into audit wasn’t a normal one, having done all sorts of other jobs, a music degree and owned my own business before starting the ACA route, however the career and flexibility at CP really suits me.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I currently manage audits for clients in a variety of industries, from construction to confectionary, however I also have experience in corporate finance and not-for-profit audits.

I’ve also worked on a few projects where you have an end objective but need to work out how to get there without a set template – I enjoy a challenge and learning new things.

Outside of work, I am a member of several committees, including being Treasurer for Nottingham Young Musician of the Year, a Director of Nottingham Professional Services and Radfest (a local music festival). Keeps me busy and allows me to contribute to my local community and music activities.

What’s on top of your bucket list?

Going on an African safari. I love animals and am a morning person so this would be ideal!
