Why do you do it?

I love to talk, I’m really curious about people generally, what they’re up to professionally and understanding the why!, I hold a real sense of value in playing a part in a clients financial journey. Working in the banking industry for many years I’ve seen the system rejections and feeling helpless when I think we could/should be able to help. CP gives me a real license to see truly positive outcomes for clients….In addition to doing my work experience at a bank at 14, there’s destiny in there somewhere!

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

I love people development, I was the talent and development lead for HSBC UK’s branch network, Engaging and navigating 3500 colleagues with their career steps, it’s really humbling to receive messages of thanks when a colleagues secured that next role, powering up the organisation and knowing you’ve played a small part. I’ve worked on overseas assignments, spending 2 months in India onshoring a high-net worth contact centre, amazing professional and cultural experience. I’ve also established and led a number of vendor relationship to ensure that customer experience is sustained through times of operational challenge. If there’s a method to improve the client experience, I’m playing all in!

What’s on top of your bucket list?

In the interest of keeping my wife on side, I’ll look at this from 2 aspects. I want to take the family to Disney. I’ve experienced it with my eldest and I want my youngest two to have the same experience. It’s truly magical for the kids, both small and big! I’m an avid golfer, I’d love to pay a visit to the Isle of Arran and experience their 3 golf courses, memorable views and it’s one I might actually get to do. An unlikely one….Play Augusta or Pebble Beach.
