WHAT DO YOU DO?
I assist small to medium-sized businesses with their accountancy needs. This varies from helping with annual financial statements to completing monthly bookkeeping. I also help with outsourced roles where I raise sales invoices, make bank payments and reconcile accounts.
WHY DO YOU DO IT?
Honestly, it was the career that always made sense to me. I loved Maths at school, I enjoy problem-solving, and both of my older brothers were already trainee accountants, so I was always going to be an accountant.
WHAT KIND OF PROJECTS HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED IN?
I worked with an overseas client where we supported both the franchisor and the individual franchisees. It was a brilliant project because I got to see the impact on both sides of the business and really deepen my understanding of how franchising works. It was exciting to watch the business grow to over 100 franchisees across five different territories — and the project even took me to Australia, which was an amazing opportunity.
WHAT’S ON TOP OF YOUR BUCKET LIST?
I’ve always loved the idea of seeing as much of the world as possible and really enjoy travelling to new places. Visiting the Maldives has always been at the top of my list.
