What do you do?

I look after clients who need accounting and business support at every stage of their journey. Whether they need year-end accounts prepared, want to outsource their finance function, require tax advice, need help getting their accounting records audit-ready, or are preparing for a sale or fundraising process, I’m there to help. Sometimes that support comes directly from me and the BSO team. Other times, it means bringing together the right specialists from across Cooper Parry to ensure clients get the expertise they need. My role is to make sure clients have the right support at the right time, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their goals with confidence.

Why do you do it?

After graduating from university (a while back), I managed to get an offer for a role in audit and accounts, and, despite not being too excited about a career in audit, I took the opportunity and surprisingly it turned out to be a lot more interesting then I ever imagined! Through my work, I’ve had the chance to support businesses across a wide range of sectors and meet business owners from all kinds of backgrounds. Being able to join them on their journeys, understand their challenges, and become a trusted source of support is what really sparked my passion for the profession.

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

he variety is one of the things I enjoy most about working in BSO. I’ve worked on a wide range of projects, from implementing new accounting systems, preparing consolidated accounts for complex group structures to supporting businesses transitioning from FRS 102 to IFRS. I’ve also helped companies become audit-ready by improving financial record-keeping, strengthening processes and enhancing the effectiveness of their finance teams. A key part of my role is helping clients gain better insight into their businesses through tailored management reporting, including designing management accounts packs that provide meaningful and actionable information, as well as building cashflow forecasts to support decision-making and future planning. No matter the project, I enjoy working closely with clients to solve problems, improve financial processes and build a strong platform for future growth.
