What do you do?

As a pensions audit senior manager, I look after a portfolio of pension schemes across a variety of different trustees and administrators. This means no day is ever the same and that’s one of the great things I love about this job. 

Why do you do it?

Since school I always wanted to work with numbers in a meaningful way. We’re not just number crunchers and actually get to speak with all the key stakeholders involved in the pension schemes. The people at Cooper Parry are great and there is definitely an “in it together” attitude so that we can all deliver and give a great service to our clients.  

What kind of projects have you been involved in?

Diverse is the first word that comes to mind. After working for over 10 years at Cooper Parry the audit projects I have worked on are varied. There have been olive tree growers in Spain, to retailers in Denmark and manufacturers in the Midlands. Yet all of them have provided good challenges and required the type of problem solving that has helped clients to pass any barriers they were currently facing. 

I was even lucky enough to be able to go on an international secondment to Atlanta, Georgia! 

What’s on top of your bucket list?

Where to start! I have always enjoyed pushing myself mentally and physically, so I’ve signed up to walk Hadrian’s Wall this September!
