Let’s talk today
Want us to call you? Let’s start a conversation!
What do you do?
I work with families to build financial resilience and create strong foundations for the lives they want to lead. My aim is simple: for clients to leave every conversation feeling a little clearer, more confident and less anxious about money.
Sometimes that means answering the big questions. Can I afford to stop working? Could I change careers? How much would I need to sell my business for?
Other times, it’s helping with the dozen smaller financial decisions that have been sitting at the back of someone’s mind, often the ones that have a habit of resurfacing at 5am.
For me, good financial planning isn’t just about saving and investing. It’s also about having the confidence to spend and enjoy your money at the right stages of life.
The most rewarding part of my job is seeing clients use their financial plan to live a life that reflects what really matters to them, alongside the people who matter most.
WhY do you do IT?
I’ve always been quite ‘left-brained’; I love solving complex problems and getting into the detail, but the idea of spending my days quietly working away at spreadsheets never really appealed to me.
I started out working at an investment platform, where I enjoyed the technical side of the job. But I was constantly hearing advisers talk about the challenges they were helping their clients navigate, while I was only ever seeing a small part of the picture. I realised I wanted to understand the whole story – the people, their lives and what they were ultimately trying to achieve.
That’s when it clicked that financial planning sits in a really interesting space between the technical and the personal. There’s the analytical, problem-solving side, but also creativity, empathy and, most importantly, listening.
Today, I get to bring those two sides together, solving complex problems for people who trust me enough to let me into their world. And I’ve learned that being a great listener can be every bit as important as having the technical answers.
WhAT KINDS OF PROJECTS HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED IN?
I’m a member of the Cooper Parry Wealth Investment Committee, which is probably a little less exciting than the name suggests! We meet regularly to review the funds within our portfolios, dig into the data and work closely with Albion Strategic Consulting to make sure our approach continues to reflect the latest academic research and evidence.
Being part of the team responsible for shaping and overseeing the portfolios our clients rely on is a real privilege, and a responsibility I take incredibly seriously.
WHAT’S ON TOP OF YOUR BUCKET LIST?
F1 has been my vice since I was 6 years old, so I would absolutely love to spend a year following an entire season over the globe.
Ideally by then, there will be races in New Zealand, India and Taiwan too!
